Co-Op Student - Human Resources
The Town of Tillsonburg is looking for a Human Resources
Co-Op Student who will be responsible for assisting the Human Resources Department with administrative functions.
This is a seasonal student position with an option to enroll in OMERS defined benefit pension plan.
Department: Human Resources
Reports To: Manager of Human Resources
Contract: May 5, 2025 - December 12, 2025 (one or two terms)
Hourly Rate: $18.55 - $21.70/hour (2024 rates)
Weekly Hours: 40

- Assist Human Resources team with administrative duties (data entry, filing, document scanning)
- Assist with records management (personnel files, job class files, recruitment files, etc).
- Assist with the recruitment process (scan and save resumes, help set up interviews)
- Assist with preparing template documentation (update and edit and create form documents)
- Research, collect and compile data for various human resources initiatives.
- Participate in special projects or initiatives as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by the manger.
Qualifications
- Must be currently enrolled in college or university program in Human Resources field.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) and ability to learn new software.
- Proven ability to work independently and solve problems creatively.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects.
- Able to handle confidential information.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Excellent research and editing skills.
- Customer service experience is an asset
